How to Import Canon Vixia HF11 AVCHD to Avid Media Composer?

If you are going to import AVCHD file from Canon HF11 to Avid Media Composer, you may notice that the HD .mts file is not supported by old versions like MC 3.1.1. You may want to transcode .mts to DNxHD for Avid. But without luck, the conversion hangs forever. You may try Aunsoft MTS/M2TS Converter as the Canon Vixia MTS converter for your Canon HF11.
With Aunsoft MTS/M2TS Converter as the companion of Canon Vixia HF11, you can convert HD .mts to HD .mov for editing on Avid Media Composer. The Canon Vixia MTS converter also deinterlaces AVCHD videos, which are recorded at 920×1080/60i, and removes interlacing artifacts.
Follow the steps below to import Canon HF11 AVCHD to Avid Media Composer.
Step 1. Load Canon Vixia HF11 AVCHD videos to Aunsoft MTS/M2TS Converter.
Download and run Aunsoft MTS/M2TS Converter as Canon Vixia MTS converter, click the “Add” button to load .mts videos to the program.
Step 2. Choose QuickTime MOV output.
Click the “Format” option and choose Adobe Premiere/Sony Vegas > MOV AVC(*.mov) as the output file format. The converter will convert Canon Vixia HF11 .mts video to .mov for Avid Media Composer with H.264/AVC.

Step 3. Convert HD MTS to HD MOV for Avid.
Click the convert button under the preview window and the conversion from HD MTS to HD MOV starts right away.
The Canon Vixia MTS converter will keep 1920×1080 high definition by default, and deinterlace camcorder videos for you to edit with Avid Media Composer. If you have any problem loading AVCHD to Avid, this converter is the choice for you to work with your HD camcorder videos.
