Lite version rejected, new build submitted

The lite version of the app was rejected because Apple didn’t like the way we worded to upgrade messages, as well as the app crashing when there was no internet connection. I’ve fixed all these issues and posted a new build. We have also resubmitted the lite version binaries to apple with these fixes. Hopefully all’s good now.

D’Oh! Updated for Common app rejection bugs

A new build has been posted on the beta test page. I happened to be perusing an iPhone developer forum looking at the most common reasons for app rejection, and it looks like we made a couple mistakes:
- We are not deselecting selected table cells
- We are not displaying a warning message when there is no internet connection
I have just rejected our binaries and posted some new ones with these issues fixed, so hopefully I have prevented a looming app rejection; however, back to the end of the line for the app review.

Received a message from Apple today that there has been an unexpected delay during the application review and to be patient. Hopefully everything is going fine, perhaps they are backlogged with app review requests right now… still keeping fingers crossed.

We have submitted the app to iTunes, hopefully within 2 weeks it will appear within the iTunes store.

We are now uploading version 1.0 of the app to iTunes. Here is the final version.

The latest build includes better memory management for views, so the app will not crash as often for low memory situations

New build has been posted for today on the beta test page. This build improves app stability during startup. I’ve also found and fixed a pesky db deadlocking issue upon startup that some testers have been running into.

A new build has been posted to the beta test page. Turns out the previous build did not break anything, actually the error was redbox’s. Apparently the SSL cert became invalid. I’ve added some additional logic to handle that situation, and improved the error message in case we cannot connect to the redbox site in the future, the error message is a little more descriptive now. I’ve also fixed a few other miscellaneous items.

I just want to give aheads up, that we found a nasty bug in the latest build that prevents you from renting a movie. Before logging in a message is (incorrectly) displayed that the internet connection was lost. This appears to really be due to a logic problem. If you have not deployed build 02/18/09 b, then hold off until the next build. I’ll be creating a fix for this issue this evening.
